Title; Day 1 September 3rd

Prose; The hum of the tires crackle on the gravel. I slowed and looked up to check the kayak, its bow extending to the front of the car. Mounted upside down, the kayak was riding the waves of dark clouds. I opened the window listening to the first drops of rain mixing with campers preparing dinner in conversation and the joyful laughs of the children.

Haiku; on waves of thunder / ripples the daytime moonlight / a cricket's song

Title; Day 2 September 4th

Photograph; Seagulls on a pier's mossy log on a lake.

Photograph; Lily pad in bloom on the surface of a lake, the sun reflected in the water. Blue sky and pine trees.

Photograph; A Cormorant flies along the surface of a like with pine covered mountains in the background.

Photograph; Plants grow from a rail road bridge beam above the lake surface.

Photograph; A spiders web scattered with insects in the grasses along the St Joe River.

Photograph; On a pier, plants grow from the top of broken post.

Title; Day 3 September 5th

Photograph; A Kayaker's shadow on a silty creek in a marsh. Pine trees and blue sky reflections.

Haiku; over the boat's edge / ink spills on muddy fabric / absorbing shadow

Photograph; Lily pad on the surface a silty creek.
