rushing out the door
before the day’s winds -I pause
with the daffodil
grasses opened hands
feathered light of a crescent
splash of morning dew
cleansing the water dish
an owl’s hoot -the ripples spread
a drop of moonlight
the falling spring rain
up and down the iris stems
the falling spring rain
autumn tree pedals
winter-summer stems of grass
spring -flower’s full bloom!
cloudy skies reflect
catkins reach -a symphony
flower shop window
in the box truck’s wake
a rumbling in the alley
birch garden sparkles
a thread of branches
patch quilt sown by many hands
color flows -brittle
in a crooked line
moist scent of soil and moss
a robin hopping
I lower my gaze
looking down at a night sky
shade of a park bench
