December2022 #226

By jpallen / December 4, 2022

1.

Photograph; a crack in a dark gray cement wall leading up to a chip revealing the sky.

Haiku; dark side of the moon / in her hand she holds lightly / a lit candle

2.

Photograph; a frosted pumpkin spice cake under a string of lights in a cafe display case.

Haiku; over the horizon
/ disappears the silent tracks / string of satellites

2.

Photograph; a dry and brittle green and yellow leaf stuck in snow in a bridge railing above bare branches and a creek.

Haiku; falling from trees —green / crisp and brittle one by one /cradled in the snow
